I love helping people learn.  I get a thrill every time I see the flash of understanding that lights up people's faces when they realize they've learned a new skill that will improve their life or work. I offer private tutoring lessons to individuals and small groups and I teach evening Community Education classes in San Anselmo.  Whether you're a busy professional needing a new skill or a senior citizen seeking an understanding technology guide, you'll find me patient and enthusiastic.

My three and a half decades as a computer professional include working as a programmer, software engineer, software consultant, web developer, virtual world builder, and instructor.  I've built my own computers for decades and have built two online virtual worlds.

I love technology and what it can do for our lives, but I also love being active outdoors in Marin's open spaces.  I've lived here most of my life, but never tire of hiking, mountain biking, and running our trails on Mt Tam, in the watershed, in Point Reyes, and in so many other beautiful places. My current and past community activity in Marin includes on the board of directors of the Miwok Archeological Preserve of Marin, being a volunteer in Point Reyes National Seashore since 1993, directing community television in San Rafael for two decades, and being a co-founder in the 1980s of the old Bicycle Trails Council of Marin.
