Computers and Internet 101
Tuesday September 13, 2016 7-9pm
This one evening course is for anyone who uses a computer and has basic questions they need answered. Topics covered will depend on student questions but will probably include internet safety, online shopping, keeping your computer secure, useful keyboard tricks, explanations of basic terminology, social media and how to find what you need on the internet. Bring your questions.

MS Word
Tuesday September 20 & 27, 2016 7-9pm
This two evening course covers Word basics. Topics covered will minimally include what’s necessary for creating and editing documents such as letters, including fonts, search and replace, paragraphs, lists, inserting pictures, spell check, and the basics of layout such as margins, headers, and footers. Depending on student interests, advanced topics such as using and creating styles, tables, columns, hyperlinks, advanced layout features such as section breaks, editing images, and tables of contents may also be included. Students will be given an optional non-graded learning assignment in the first session to complete for review in the second session.
Prerequisite: Students should have access to a computer with Word installed and possess basic computer skills.

MS PowerPoint
Tuesday October 4 & 11, 2016 7-9pm
This two evening course teaches the basics of using MS PowerPoint. Topics will cover the basics that students will need to know to create a PowerPoint presentation. An optional non-graded learning assignment will be given in the first class for students to complete for review in the second session.
Prerequisite: Students should have access to a computer with PowerPoint installed and be familiar with basic MS Word tasks such as copy-and-paste.
